Any of the following conditions can make contact lens fitting and comfortable contact lens wear more challenging:

Keratoconus
Astigmatism
Dry eyes
Giant papillary conjunctivitis (GPC)
Post-refractive surgery (eg. LASIK)
Presbyopia

Specialty contact lenses will be ideal option for the above-mentioned conditions. Myopia control treatment, orthokeratology ( Ortho-K ) is also another type of specialty contact lenses.
